ILIO to Distribute Sonic Reality Products

February 21, 2000 -- ILIO Entertainments has entered into an agreement with Sonic Reality to begin distributing their line of sample libraries worldwide. By working with this highly regarded producer, ILIO strengthens its position as an influential sample distributor.

Founded by musician and producer Dave Kerzner, Sonic Reality has worked for several years to produce a line of products aimed at the professional sampling musician. Their first releases include Vintage Timetraveler, featuring synths, keys, guitars and drums from the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s, and Interactive Drum Kits, a kits-only drum disc that features up to 50 hits per snare. Concert Grand Pianos offers two Yamaha concert grands sampled in first-call L.A. studios, and American Heartland, highlights guitars, winds and percussion plucked from the deep South. Final versions of these products will begin shipping in February for most sampler formats, including Akai®, Emu EOS®, Kurzweil®, Roland® and Unity™. More products are scheduled for release during the year.

"Sonic Reality’s commitment to excellence isn’t lost on us," says Mark Hiskey of ILIO. "We’ve always sought the best sounding and most thoughtful products for our catalog. Sonic Reality’s team is on the same mental plane as we are, and they produce top-quality, useful and inspiring libraries, so we’re thrilled to have them onboard."

For over 10 years Sonic Reality has been sampling, programming and developing sound libraries for a number of highly successful music companies and recording artists. Their programmer’s names can be found on many critically acclaimed CD-ROM sound libraries, keyboard products and hit records. Founded by musician and producer Dave Kerzner, their approach has been to make musical instrument libraries that are extremely flexible for production and inspiring to play.
