Roland Introduces SRQ-2031 & 4015 Digital EQs
February 4, 2000 -- Expanding its line of professional digital signal processors, Roland is proud to announce the SRQ-2031 and SRQ4015 Digital Graphic Equalizers. The 2-channel, 31-band SRQ-2031 and 4-channel, 15-band SRQ-4015 both feature 24-bit A/D-D/A conversion and 32-bit internal processing and were designed to meet the rigorous EQ needs of professional engineers while remaining simple enough to be used effectively by musicians at all levels. The 1U rackmount SRQ-2031 and 4015 both employ a unique interface, consisting of an innovative Frequency Slider and rotary Dial Encoder, which makes the task of selecting specific frequencies and adjusting respective gain levels both intuitive and simple. Coupled with this unique Slider-based interface is a convenient Search Mode which helps find and eliminate feedback frequencies immediately, while Sweep Mode emulates the feel of drawing EQ curves by sliding the Frequency Slider while adjusting the Dial Encoder. Particularly well-suited to live applications, the SRQ-2031 and 4015 both feature a digital delay for conveniently adjusting and compensating for the distance of the PA speakers. Eliminating the tiresome task of calculating delay time from distance, the SRQs LCD can display the speaker distance in terms of time or meters. And 16 scene memories make recalling and comparing various EQ settings far more easy than with an analog EQ. As fully professional EQs, the SRQ-2031 and 4015 offer built-in noise gates for removing external noise during periods of silence, plus mechanical bypass circuitry for emergency black out conditions. Best of all, both EQs are attractively priced making it easier than ever before to put a digital graphic equalizer to work today. For more information, visit Roland on the web at www.rolandus.com.
