DOD 512 Multi-Effects ProcessorJanuary 18, 1996 -- DOD Electronics is showing its new 512 true-stereo, multi-effects processor to the music industry market at this year's NAMM show in Anaheim. Incredibly easy to use, the 512 is operated by simply dialing up an effect or effects combination, selecting a preset and adjusting the unit's two realtime parameter controls to your liking. Eliminating the need to spend valuable time programming, the DOD processor provides great sounds right out of the box. Perfect for studio and live applications alike, the DOD 512 features 32 effects combinations with 15 presets each for a grand total of 480 presets. For today's eclectic musical styles, the 512 provides a full complement of necessary effects, including multiple reverbs, delays, choruses, flanges and pitch shifting. There are also popular vintage effects like phasers, tremolo and panning. Series and parallel combinations of reverb or delay are available with these effects as well. And for the professional sound quality you expect in today's digital processors, a 44.1 kHz CD-quality sample rate is used. Not only does the 512 offer true stereo and series effects capabilities, but two independent sources can be plugged in and be processed through two effects separately. Combine this with two realtime parameter editing controls for tweaking in your reverb decay, delay time or modulation speed. The unit also includes noise reduction with an adjustable threshold. Perhaps best of all, the DOD 512 features a manufacturer's suggested list price of $229.95 For more information, visit their web site at www.dod.com.
