DigiTech RP-6
January 18, 1996 -- DigiTech proudly introduces its RP-6, the latest product offering in the company's popular RP Series of foot-controlled guitar signal processors. Based on the design of the successful RP-5, the RP-6 adds a continuous controller pedal for real-time control of program parameters as well as enhanced analog distortion circuitry for even greater sound flexibility. Built on the same S-DISC(R). platform as the flagship GSP-2101, the RP-6 offers 80 programs (40 factory/40 user), many of which are new over the RP-5. Among the full-bandwidth effects available on the RP-6 are multi-tap delays (up to 800ms) and ten types of reverb, both which may be used simultaneously. Additional effects include chorus, flange, phaser, detune, pitchshift, autopan, tremolo, wah and Whammy(TM). The self-contained processor also offers a number of necessary tools, such as a flexible three-band parametric EQ, analog compressor, Silencer(TM) digital noise gate, cabinet simulator for direct-toconsole use and built-in guitar tuner.
