Logic and Logic Audio 2.5.3 Update for Macintosh

January 18, 1996 -- EMAGIC is showing the latest subrelease for the highly acclaimed LOGIC Series, the first programs of their kind shipping in 100% Native Code for Power Macintosh and the only application worldwide which combines multiple Audio hardware from different manufacturers simultaneously in one system (LOGIC AUDIO only). In addition to EMAGIC's strong commitment to Windows '95 at NAMM, this innovative European software developer continues with yet further improvements for its flagship products on the Macintosh.

EMAGIC demonstrates its ability to respond quickly to professional request by including in 2.5.3 the following:

  • New Audio Cross Fades (LOGIC AUDIO only): Graphically controllable linear and exponential Cross Fades with length and curve
  • Cross Staff (Stave) Beaming: Option to beam notes of different staffs into the same group
  • Tempo Interpreter: includes Tap Tempo via computer keyboard and MIDI with Tempo Recording
  • Compound Time Signatures: Signatures such as 3+3+2/8 can be inserted, beaming will follow the compound signature
  • Global Text Events: provide automatic Page headers, footers, and more PICT Graphic Export: Freely selectable areas of Score can be exported in adjustable resolution
  • Plus many others

For the many Environment enthusiasts, 2.5.3 includes Designer Environment Objects to make your virtual mixing desks look even better. 2.5.3 will be available in February for a nominal shipping charge or at no cost via the Internet to registered LOGIC and LOGIC AUDIO 2.5 users.

Shipping February '96, free for 2.5 users via Internet. Logic Audio 2.5.3 will also be available in a CD-ROM version for Macintosh and Power Macintosh shortly With its large collection of support and audio files, this CD-ROM version will add value to the LOGIC AUDIO package and empower user with easier access offers and faster installations. Of course, LOGIC AUDIO will still be available in a multiple diskset for those without access to a CD-ROM player.
