Vox AC15 Top Boost Reverb
January 18, 1996 -- Vox recently announced the introduction of the new AC15 Top Boost Reverb, a 15 Watt, Class A, all-valve guitar amplifier with master volume and reverb. The new amp's cosemetics reflect Vox's vintage heritage: it's covered in black basket-weave vinyl and original Vox diamond grill cloth. "Under the hood," the AC15 also pays homage to its Vox pedigree with a single preamp channel that's identical to the Brilliant channel on vintage AC30 Top Boost amps. The preamp is mated to a power section utilizing two EL84s and a 5Y3 rectifier tube. Controls include Volume, Treble, Bass, Cut, Master Volume, Reverb Depth, Tremolo Speed and Tremolo Depth. High and Low Sensitivity inputs are provided, as is a Standby switch. The new AC15 TBR is equipped with vintage tremolo circuitry and a three spring reverb. Players can also choose between 1x12" or 2x10" speaker configurations and a Vox "Blue" model 12" speaker is also available. For more information, visit their web site at www.voxshwroom.com.
