Vision 3.0 features Digital Audio Support on Power Macintosh

Vision 3.0
Open Music System 2.0

January 18, 1996 -- Vision 3.0 has added digital audio through Apple's Sound Manager. Use the built-in audio capabilities of a Power Macintosh to record and play audio tracks. Display and edit audio waveforms right alongside MIDI data.

Vision 3.0 now has 4 user-configurable mixing consoles complete with 96 fader channels and VU meters; seamlessly build an entire set of consoles based on your tracks. Integration with the latest versions of Galaxy and OMS allows for even greater access and organization of MIDI patches. Open a Vision sequence and OMS will know whether the correct patches are in your devices-if not, send them with a click of a button.

In light of Vision 3.0's new Sound Manager capabilities, Studio Vision AV has been discontinued. Opcode is offering existing Studio Vision AV users a special upgrade to either Vision 3.0 or Studio Vision Pro 3.0.

Open Music System 2.0:

Configuring studio setups is now more streamlined and automated, MIDI instruments are auto-detected along with interfaces. New enhanced color graphics more clearly illustrate your studio connections. The new QuickTime(TM) Music OMS driver lets you audition songs in any OMS compatible application without being connected to your MIDI instruments - General MIDI playback right from your Mac!

Galaxy 2.0:

Name Manager, a new component of OMS 2.0, makes the link between Galaxy and Vision even more dynamic. Vision displays all patches from Galaxy so bundles can be easily viewed by name or number and even group by bank or keywords. Choose a patch from any bank and the appropriate bank-select command will be automatically sent for you (allowing access to more than 128 patches per synth). Opcode will continue its quest to provide system solutions of software and hardware that empower musicians to realize their creative goals. Founded in 1985, Opcode is a leading supplier of computer software and hardware for the composition, performance, editing and recording of music by professional, semiprofessional and amateur musicians.
