Roland VG8D-1 & VG8D-2 ROM Cards for the VG-8January 18, 1996 -- As promised, at last year's unveiling of the VG-8 V-Guitar System, Roland has released the first in a series of Sound Library Cards for the VG-8. Roland has produced not one, but two new ROM cards which feature specialized sounds optimized for a variety of applications, including live performance and recording. The VG8D-1 "Traditional 1" contains 64 patches featuring clean and biting, as well as warm and mellow tones perfectly suited to country, folk, blues or jazz. There are even some patches for classic rock sounds like early Beatles, Yardbirds and Hendrix. The VG8D-2 "Modern 1" offers some heavier and more powerful patches which are ideal for use in rock, metal or fusion. You'll love these instantly identifiable sounds reminiscent of players like Steve Vai, David Gilmore, Steve Lukather and Neal Schon. Much like the VG-8 itself, the new Sound Library Cards must be heard to be believed. Hurry on over to check them out; both are outstanding. These great new cards open the door to increased creativity while helping you get the most out of your VG-8. For more information, visit their web site at www.rolandus.com.
