The Porta 03 MKll's LED illumination points have been changed to reflect the unit's increased operating headroom - now being labeled as "0" and "+6". Recording enthusiasts will now be able to saturate the tape more than could be done with the original recorder, thus, getting a better overall signal-to-noise ratio. In keeping with the stylistic design of the latest Portastudio products such as the 488MKII, the new Porta 03 MKII has adopted the same color.
