ADA Microamp 100

January 16, 1997 -- ADA Amplifier Systems has added yet another remarkable rackmount product for guitarists to the already extensive line of original creations. The new Microamp 100 provides the musician a workhorse amplifier that performs with tube-like characteristics when overdriven, as well as ultra-clean when run below clipping. This 'rock solid' performance would normally be available in a 3 or 4 rack space unit weighing over 50 lbs. But the one rack space ADA Microamp measures only 5-5/8" deep and weighs a mere 8 lbs., ultra-compact by any measurement. The Microamp delivers a solid, ultra-clean 50 watts per channel into 8 ohms in stereo, 60 watts into 4 ohms and 100 watts into 8 ohms in mono mode.

While the Microamp 100 has been designed primarily as a stereo guitar amp with its Presence and Resonance controls, but also functions well as an amazing studio monitor amp when used below clipping levels. The solid state design has been engineered utilizing breakthrough technology and ADA's proprietary National Semiconductor chip that delivers 'bulletproof', consistent performance under any situation. With an internal cooling fan, full short and overheating protection, the Microamp promises to provide ultra-flat frequency response ranging from 55 Hz up to and beyond 30kHz. The input sensitivity is 0.707 Vrms for full output, and the design also includes two Headroom LED indicators, green at 30dB before clipping and red, at 6 dB before clipping. With its attractive retro-look graphics and vintage style knobs and hardware, the Microamp 100 is the ultimate choice for a stable, gutsy amp that offers versatility, tubey distortion qualities or ultra-clean performance. Suggested retail on the Microamp 100 is a mere $399.95, a bargain at twice the price!
