This remarkable one rack space processor accurately emulates any popular cabinet with the ability to select speaker size, speaker array, open or closed back cabinet, on or off-axis mic placement and even cabinet resonance! The Microcab II goes far beyond simple EQ-filters and speaker emulators by providing specific controls for vintage or standard type speakers in a 1-12, 2-12 or 4-12 array, either open or closed back enclosure. The Thump control "tunes" the low end box resonance, while the Hi Balance control emulates mike placement and cabinet brightness. Input signals may be taken either from preamp levels or power amp levels via Microcab II's passthru patch panel, or by simply tapping the guitar signal at stage speakers. The Microcab II back panel includes stereo inputs and 1/4" and balanced XLR outputs that can be sent to mic or line level inputs on the mixing console. The front panel is complete with Level control, Clip indicator and In/out switch for emulated and direct signal comparison. In conjunction with the famous ADA MP-1 Classic MIDI tube guitar preamp, the Microcab II offers the musician the ability to accurately duplicate playing through any type speaker set up without the carting of heavy gear!
