ART Xtreme + Personal Distortion Processor
January 16, 1997 -- Applied Research and Technology is proud to introduce the Xtreme +, Personal Distortion Processor, the ultimate combination of distortion and programmable digital effects. Three new, all-analog preamplifier types (Roar, Stack, and Crystal) have been designed as perfect compliments to the already crushing, over-the-top XTREME distortion. The three-band EQ section with a sweepable midrange frequency control allows the user to dial in nearly any classic, as well as previously unavailable distortion tones. The digital effects section is programmable, with every effect containing an adjustable parameter. New effects, such as tremolo and panning, combined with new effects combinations and new reverb and chorus algorithms make up a fourth-generation DSP section representing the ultimate in flexibility and ease-of-use. Users can now combine any editable effects combination with any of the four preamp types (or bypass), providing over 400 sonic possibilities. These combinations may be stored in any order to any of 100 preset locations. Fully adjustable (non-DSP based) EQ further expands the users possibilities, making the variations on tone virtually endless. With stereo, mono and headphone outputs, the Xtreme + is perfect for any application a guitarist needs, and it may be the most cost effective distortion processor in its class. The Xtreme + is expected to ship in March. For more information, visit their web site at www.artroch.com, or write them at: A.R.T.
