Introducing the ATR-1(TM), Auto-Tune in a Rack
January 29, 1998 -- AnTares Systems today announced at NAMM '98 the release of the new hardware rack version of its amazing Auto-Tune software DSP product. Auto-Tune(TM) is an automatic real-time pitch correction software program that has enjoyed great success in the hard disk recording market since its release as a TDM Plug-In for Digidesign's Pro Tools® hard disk recording system. AnTares Systems has now made this technology available as a hardware product for everyone to use. Auto-Tune Rack gives any recording engineer or producer access to "Perfect Pitch in Box". This allows any solo vocal or instrument track to instantly and automatically be corrected to the proper pitch. The expressive nuances of the original performance are preserved without distortion or artifacts. In addition, the Auto-Tune Rack allows any musician or instrumentalist to perform in perfect intonation in live settings. The user can add or eliminate vibrato or create unusual special effects. According to Rhett Lawrence of Rhett Lawerence Productions, a Grammy nominated Producer "Auto-Tune is one of the most innovative and useful production tools to hit the recording industry in years. An incredible time saving device." David Malloy from Starstruck Studios-Multi-Platinum, Grammy nominated Producer said "Whoever invented Auto-Tune deserves to live in Hawaii. I can't wait for him to make software for my personal life." Auto-Tune is also available as a plug-in for Digital Audio Labs V8. For more information, visit their web site at www.antarestech.com.
