BIAS SFX Machine to be Bundled with Metro 4.0

Unique Multi-effects Plug-In adds even more creativity to Digital Audio and MIDI Sequencing Software for Macintosh

January 29, 1998 -- Berkley Integrated Audio Software, Inc. (BIAS) a leading manufacturer of digital audio editing software, announces a software bundling agreement with Cakewalk, creators of highly acclaimed music and sound creation software titles. According to the agreement, Cakewalk Metro 4.0 will now include a special edition of BIAS SFX Machine, the award winning multi-effects and modular synthesis plug-in for Power Macintosh. The inclusion of the special version of SFX Machine adds flexible, unique sound design tools to a low-cost, full-featured digital audio sequencing program.

"We're very happy to be working closely with an industry leading company such as Cakewalk," said Steve Berkley, President and CEO of BIAS. "The Special Version of SFX Machine will offer Metro users an easy, intuative way to create hundreds of new sounds." Jim Rippie, Product Manager at Cakewalk said, "Cakewalk Metro 4 and the BIAS SFX Machine make a powerful combination. Metro 4's unique creative tools allow musicians to experiment and break new ground compositionally, and those same ideals are at the heart of SFX Machine. We're eager to bring these combined strengths to our customers, at an unbeatable price."

Based on the full version of SFX Machine, the special version of SFX Machine included with Metro 4.0 ships with 20 built-in presets and a simple, user-configurable interface.
