Five New FX Pedals from DODJanuary 29, 1998 -- DOD announces that five new FX Series guitar pedals will make their debut at NAMM '98--the FX102 Mystic Blues, DFX98 Digital Delay, the FX91 Bass Overdrive, FX75C Stereo Flanger and FX25B Envelope Filter. Go down to the crossroads with the DOD FX102 Mystic Blues and teach ol' Scratch a thing or two. Singing highs, velvety lows, and just enough overdrive to rattle the windows. Have the tone you crave without signing any suspicious contracts. Controls include: Level, Low, High (L&H are both passive EQ controls, like on an amp) and Drive. The DFX98 'EchoMatic' Digital Delay is a stereo digital delay and sampler offering up to eight full seconds of delay time-twice as long as DOD's DFX94 Digital Delay. Sporting 16-bit A/D and D/A conversion, the DFX98 features a 'Repeat' mode for continuous sample looping, as well as a twisted 'Reverse' function to play the sample or loop back in reverse. When used in stereo, this stompbox can provide some of the most psychedelic sounds on the market. Control pots include: Mix, Delay, Repeat and Mode. Attention bassists: DOD harnesses the sound of a vintage tube bass stack in the FX91 Bass Overdrive. Need some more grind? Look no further. Lightly overdriven tones, massive growl or everything in between. With the Blend knob, you control the mix between your tone and the added overdrive. This keeps your low end intact, while other pedals on the market viciously chop away at it. Aside from the Blend knob, controls include: Level, Tone and Drive. The FX75C Stereo Hanger features an extended sweep range to go where no flanger has gone before, from a light shift to a deep, wooshing swirl. The extended-range LFO also allows guitarists to flange slower than ever before with no sacrifice in sound quality. Effect amount is controlled with the Level pot, while Speed varies the speed of the LFO. Depth adjusts the depth of the flange, and Regen controls the amount of regeneration. The FX75C sounds great in mono and amazing in stereo. The second you start to play the DOD FX25B Envelope Filter, you feel the groove kickin' in. Easily switchable with either platform shoes or roller skates, this stompbox is funky, funky and mo' funky. The DOD Envelope Filter has a Blend knob that allows it to be used with guitar or bass, as well as controls for Sensitivity and Range. So, get hip to the mothership with DOD's FX25B.
