Emagic Announces New Series of Logic Audio Series Programs

January 29, 1998 -- Emagic introduces a new and distinct line of Logic Audio versions to help meet the changing demands of customers. With the integration of the Extension series along with audio and real time effects in each version, the new Logic Audio series of programs becomes yet more attractive and easy to understand.

MicroLogic AV

The popular entry level version now offers 16 audio tracks with real time effects and an integrated sample editor. In addition, a new adaptive track mixer makes using the program even easier.

Logic Audio Silver

This version is a natural upgrade from Logic Audio Discovery and now offers up to 24 audio tracks with 3 band EQ real time effects on 3 effects busses plus the new adaptive mixer.

Logic Audio Gold

The feature list is equal to the current Logic Audio. New additions are: non-destructive crossfades with fade in/out parameters for audio regions and parallel sample editing of multiple regions. In addition to AV, any of the following hardware can be used simultaneously: AW8, DAE, Korg 1212 I/O or Yamaha CBX - for up to a total of 48 audio tracks.

Logic Audio Platinum

In addition to the feature set of Logic Audio Gold, this version includes support for the 24-bit audio format (with Pro Tools III/24), Soundscape's audio hardware SSHDR-1, Digidesign Pro Tools III/24 and unlimited parallel operations with audio hardware of different manufacturers. In addition, it offers up to 96 tracks of digital audio.

Logic Audio Platinum will also be bundled with Bias Peak SE for MacOS or Cool Edit Pro LE for Windows.

Shipping

The new Logic series of products will ship in the first quarter of 1998.
