Limited Edition Buck Owens Telecaster®

January 29, 1998 -- From his humble beginnings as a sharecropper's son to his show-stopping performances around the world, Alvis "Buck" Owens has indeed lived the American dream. The image of Owens strumming his Telecaster while singing such chart-topping hit songs as "Act Naturally," "Love's Gonna Live Here," and "I've Got A Tiger By The Tail," has influenced some of the the biggest names in music. Along with his best friend-the late Don Rich-Buck Owens and the Buckaroos created the roadhouse sound that has become the foundation of modem country music.

To honor this American musician, singer and songwriter, and for his contribution to the Fender legacy, Fender presents the Limited Edition Buck Owens Telecaster®. This Tele® has a basswood body in red-silver-and-blue sparkle; a special shape maple neck with 25.5" scale length; a rosewood fretboard with 22 frets; vintage Tele® pickups with Alnico magnets; 3-way selector switch; master volume and tone controls; gold pickguard; and gold plated vintage hardware. Comes factory-equipped with genuine Fender strings for optimum tone and performance.
