Fender And Mojo Musical Supply Announce Joint AgreementJanuary 29, 1998 -- Fender Musical Instruments Corp. and Mojo Musical Supply of Petaluma, California have entered into a joint agreement to design, produce, and distribute a full line of amplifier parts for Fender's amps. "Fender has been producing amplifiers for more than 50 years, and while many parts are useable in all Fender amps, there is still a need for specific vintage Fender amp parts," says Brad Townsend, Vice President of Strings, Picks, and Accessories. Through the new arrangement, Fender and Mojo will jointly market the Fender amplifier replacement parts, including a new line of official Fender vintage replacement parts. "Our relationship with Mojo Music gives Fender the opportunity to supply and service all players and collectors of Fender amps, regardless of when they were made," says Townsend. Each company will sell the parts through its own distribution networks. Fender distributes electric and acoustic guitars; amplifiers; and strings, picks, and accessories through a worldwide dealer network. "Our distribution will now make a full line of genuine Fender amplifier parts more accessible to customers worldwide," Townsend says. Mojo Musical Supply is an amplifier parts company with an emphasis on vintage parts, from cabinets, handles, knobs, and coverings to electronic components.
