Akai Introduces Compact Guitar Chord Finder
January 28, 1999 -- Akai, a recognized leader in the design and manufacture of innovative audio products, introduced the new compact guitar chord finder at the January 1999 NAMM show. Offering features found on chord finders costing nearly three times as much, the Akai GCF1 is a compact key-holder sized, battery operated unit with an amazing suggested retail price of only $19.95. Perfect for every guitar player, the GCF1's LCD display indicates the selected guitar chord name and chord pattern in a six string/four fret area with root note and mute strings from the on-board 324 chord/905 pattern library. User controls include key, chord, tension and variable position chord selection. An on/off switch is provided and the GCF1 automatically turns off after five minutes of non operation. Part of the revolutionary new line of effects pedals from Akai, the GCF1 will be available in February 1999. For more information, visit Akai at www.akai.com.
