BitHeadz Announces Osmosis for MacOS®
January 28, 1999 -- Osmosis is an easy to use application for converting Akai S1000 format CD-ROM sample libraries to Unity DS-1 or SampleCell format, using any Macintosh with a CD-ROM drive. Osmosis has a single window that displays the Akai CD partitions, banks, programs, and samples. Conversion is accomplished by simply dragging the desired data to the Macintosh hard drive. All multisample and program voicing parameter data is retained. Samples can be auditioned directly from the CD, then transferred to hard disk in AIFF, Sound Designer II, WAVE, or Unity DS-1 format. Akai 3Left/Right split1 samples can be automatically merged into a true stereo file. Any Macintosh CD-ROM drive (SCSI or IDE) can be used. Suggested retail price is $199. Minimum System Requirements: Mac OS 7.6.1, 120 Mhz processor, 32 MB RAM. For more information, visit the BitHeadz web site at www.bitheadz.com.
