Comments: Just got them and put them in today !!!
Wow, what can I say. Bill Hullet is right, these are the best I have EVER heard! I bought these on his word alone. IMHO The bridge p-up is woody and so warm and yes smokey. Very smooth trebles and full punchy but not humped mids.
The neck p-up is a whole different ballgame. he offers 3 different neck p-ups. I got the 'tall neck' p-up. which is just that, a taller neck p-up, same width, just a little taller. It comes with nickel/silver cover so there is no treble roll-off and it is amazing. The best Tele or S*$%t or anything neck p-up ever. I generally don't use the stock neck unless I'm going for a Jimmy Bryant jazz thing(and this does that as well) and this neck p-up is so full and warm and usable in the same way I would use a St*%#t neck p-up in a Tele.
If you use a 4-way switch these are absolute must haves. The 'series' position is outstanding. They are full and high-fidelity but not in that super bright Barden way.
I am not in anyway affiliated with this company or pitching for them, just expressing MHO.
On a scale of 1 to 10, I give this pickup a: 10 Fantastic value
