Sound

Perceived output level: Extremely accurate reproduction of my Flamenco guitar. Hard to tell the difference betwen the guitar and the amplified sound. A great way to amplify an acoustic without the "acoustic/electric" type sound.
Tone: Very warm with lots of air. Sounds just like my guitar.
Sonic evaluation: I am using a custom built Bruce F. Wood Flamenco, Spanish Sycamore back and sides, 25 yr German Spruce top, Traditional Ebony tuning pegs. Amp is a Behringer ACX100, a touch of reverb, and also direct into my PC- Cool Edit Pro, Tube Pre Amp.

For which styles and positions is this pickup (un)suitable: I was seeking a real acoustic sound without butchering my guitar. I play acoustic music with electronic sounscapes. perfect for my style.

Overall Rating

Comments: B-Band, in my opinion, is probably the most affordable, true sounding pickup on the market. The A2 allows for stereo blending through a mixing board, PA, amplifier with 2 channels or a blender pre amp. Their customer service and online forum is top notch, as well as their warranty. Hard to beat B-Band!!

On a scale of 1 to 10, I give this pickup a: 10 Fantastic value
