For which styles and positions is this pickup (un)suitable: This pickup is better for the bluesier stuff that i do, and i guess its fine for the fingerstyle. Its a suitable pickup for acoustic guitarists that want to rock-ify their acoustic. Its a really great sounding pickup, but its lacking the bit of sweetness i look for.
Overall Rating
Comments: If it was stolen, i would try a saddle transducer to give more sensitivity and sweetness, but i will continue to use it for open mics and oh yeah its great for jamming! Great sounding distorted too. Like i said, it will rock out your acoustic. I dont feel i need an electric guitar when using this pickup. Ive been playing and studying guitars for a while, im 26 feel that i have a picky ear for tone.
Im primarily a bassist, but now just as into playing guitar as i am into bass. I have a newer Fender Precision with SD quarter pounders and a 71 SVT.
On a scale of 1 to 10, I give this pickup a: 8
