I have a 1967 solid state Pacemaker made by Thomas Organ model V1020 single channel,3 inputs. Its a 1-10" combo with tremelo & MRB. This version was rated at 32 watts compared to the tube versions (V102) 17 watt rating. Basically its the Cambridge Reveb without reverb.
Sound Quality: 8
I was suprised how much louder this amp is compared to my 65 tube Cambridge. While it didn't have the warmth of my tube Cambridge it could cut thru the mix without too much harshness. The MRB is a fun effect that I have found myself using more & more. You don't always need to overdrive or distort a guitar solo & the MRB give better clarity. The speaker is a nonstock Jensen but adequate. I'm looking for a stock replacement now. I really only practice with this amp but could use it in a smaller club if need be.
Reliability: 8
This amp appears to be stock but the power cord was changed to a 3 prong unit. Its the only Thomas solid state amp I've purchased & not had to work on. Don't know about the service history but it doesn't appear to have been opened recently. Some were build better than others & I've found the lower wattage combo amps last longer the the big head Voxes.

Only a memory now...

39 years under my belt & my opinion is this is a neat little amp that provides good power-to-size performance, with a more than above average solid state tone. I have a recent Cambridge 30 (still stock)that this amp can stack up to in every catagory & slightly exceed in volume. I would recommend it without hesitation.
