This is a new guitar purchased 2003 It was built in Oregon .It has a 20 fret ebony fingerboard with a very comfortable radius. The neck is solid maple, Body is Flame Maple AAA and the top is solid. The shape is Dreadnought has a nice Abalone inlay around sound hole. Wood binding is hard to describe green and brown colors very unique. The design is simple but very pleasing. The model is only one of 3 made witch was a confirmed buy Breedlove guitars. This is the first acoustic guitar I have owned since a 1964 (a 25$ Stella). I played about 60+ guitars Martin Taylor Seagull I was going for sound not a name. When I played the Breedlove it just plain stuck out. The second visit to the shop I played some Taylor’s Then the Breedlove again I had the salesman play it ( It ‘s a great way to here the deference in sound) then had him play a Taylor After about 30 seconds I said go get the case for the Breedlove.
Sound: 10
The sound is what I was after, To me this was the most balanced sound of all the guitars I played. I would have the sales people play the guitars so I would get an Idea of the complete sound. Sound is a personal preference so play allot of guitars and find the one you like.
Action, Fit, & Finish: 10
The factory set up seems very good plays more like an electric. I’m really new at the acoustic but it was one of the easiest I’ve played. I can’t say enough about the finish. It has a hand rubbed neck feels great. You have to see the Quality and craftsmanship yourself to appreciate it.
Reliability/Durability: 9
I can't say much about the reliability/durability I have only had it about a week. But if the quality is any indication I’m sure everything else goes with that
Customer Support: 10
I e-mailed Breedlove about care for my new guitar They sent me everything from cleaning to factory setup witch is great to know
Overall Rating: 10
I have been playing guitar for about 38 years but have never played allot of acoustic guitar so I decided it was time to buy one Well I started with hopes of a $600 budget, well went just a tad over. I spent allot of time playing deferent guitars so choosing the Breedlove was certainly not spur of the moment. I haven’t found any dislikes about the guitar. I really wanted Figured Maple guitar, but most did not have that full sound, the Breedlove has all the sound, looks’ quality. It’s the complete package I was hoping to find. I spent more than I wanted but I would do it again in a hart beat. They are a true hand built guitar you won’t see 20 hanging on the wall or 5 of the same Model next to each other so if your looking for a Quality not run of the mill instrument check the Breedloves . Well hope this review helps, Time to play
