Price Paid: US $3400

Sound: 10
Absolutely beautiful and balanced sound. Crisp highs, soulful mids, and great bass for shallow body. The overtones are amazing, best I've heard on any guitar in over 25 years playing. Nothing comes close. This guitar is great for fingerstyle, although can stand up to more forceful strumming, etc.

Action, Fit, & Finish: 10
Action and setup are perfect. Easy to play, no buzz, accurate all the way up the neck. The quilted maple on the back and sides is stunning, the sitka spruce top is clear and straight grained. The inlays and other details are perfectly done. Absolutely not a single nick, file mark or glue spot anywhere. No gaps anywhere. Workmanship is top notch.

Reliability/Durability: 10
I've been playing this guitar constantly for 1 year now (I can't put it down!). The finish is very durable, resisting dents and scratches. I would gig without a back up (especially since nothing I own, including a 66 Martin D28, comes close in sound and playablity). Also, this guitar goes into tune easily, and stays there...even though I switch to several alternate tunings frequently.
The Pacific does not come with a pickup, but I had a Fishman matrix installed and it sounds great, very natural.

Customer Support: 10
Breedlove is great. They are friendly, helpful and experts. Installed the matrix same-day.

Overall Rating: N/A
I've been playing for almost 30 years. Mostly on a 66 Martin D28. Then, I got the Pacific and my world changed. I cannot say enough good things about the Pacific. Other Breedloves I've played were very nice, but the Pacific was head and shoulders above (not "tubby" like some can be). If you're thinking about the Pacific...do it! It's a spendy guitar, but worth it. A guitar you'll play for life, and pass on to your grandkids. Absolutely beautiful to look at, to play and to hear.
