Price Paid: 2700 (canadian)

A 2001 model. Solid spruce top and mahogany back and sides. Blender pickup, a crown condenser mic with an underbridge piezo. Neat bridge system and a resulting " relaxed" top. A very sharp cutaway that you need to be careful with while sitting as it will slip off your knee.
A head that looks off given the tuner spacing, but close your eyes and reach out for a tuner and it it right where you expect it to be.
Sound: 10
I recorded with it today in a professional studio. We used a couple of mics as well as the P/U. I dont like piezos, they sound like walking on broken glass, but the tech called this one" better than most."
The acoustic sound is why i bought this guitar. i tried every guitar in the store, i was actually just trying a harder pick. That 54 cents cost me lots at the end of the day!
It is rich and full like a larivee but has a very pronounced bass response. The tech loved the sound, and so do I.
Its a funny looking bird though, guy must have a batman complex or something.
Action, Fit, & Finish: 7
I could do without the pickup system. I would not install this on another guitar.
Guitar is very nicely put together and the finish is beautiful.
Reliability/Durability: 9
Dont know how it will stand up. So far so good. Their bridge system makes sense to me, so I expect it will age better than me.
Customer Support: 8
Their site is not great, no info on how to blend the pickups system. Thats a pain when you buy one used.
However I called them and they are very friendly. Limited warrannty to original purchaser.
Overall Rating: N/A
I also owne another acoustic, a marc beneteau custom. This one will be the one I'll play out of mostly. It ius in the same class and my tech thinks they sound similair, byt the breedlove has better bass.
Been playing since six and professionally for 30 years.
