2006 Model - Made in Korea. Mine is pink with a solid spruce top and "composite" back and sides. I believe it is dreadnaut proportions, but 3/4 size with a full-scale neck. The neck is nice, satin-finished mahogany and is very well shaped. It has 20 frets, all of which are beautifully installed - comperable to what you would find on any well made, American guitar. The Grover tuners are an excellent feature and really improve the function of the instrument. It comes with a decent enough case, an allan wrench, and stickers.

The sound of this guitar is fantastic - and not just for the price. I've been playing for eleven years and owned more than thirty guitars at all different price levels - this one really sounds good. It is very responsive and allows for a wide range of dynamics, both flat and finger picking. It sounds like a cross between my dreadnauts and my parlor guitar - big and bright, but with a bit of compression that tames the high end nicely. I play blues and folk and it suits those styles perfectly - it sounds especially good with a slide.

Action, Fit, & Finish: 10
The workmanship is fantastic throughout. Everything from the fretwork to the finish is beautifully done and shows a great amout of care. I took it out of the shipping box, tuned it up, and it worked perfectly with no need to adjust anything.

Reliability/Durability: 10
The composite back makes the guitar very durable and elliminates a lot of the problems with humidity that acoustic guitars can have. The hardware is fantastic - the tuners and strap buttons are the best I could ask for. I think it will last me as long as I want it too.

I haven't dealt with them personally, but they seem like good people.

Overall Rating: 10
I can't imagine that a guitar this good is intended for beginers. If I had had this when I started playing, I probably would've learned a lot faster. It is by every measure a high quality instrument that would be a bargain at three times the price. I'm attending college on a classical guitar scholarship and wouldn't hesitate to use this guitar for a performance (even though it's pink). If you are looking at this as a first guitar, buy it! You won't be sorry.

2004 model based on the tag . made in Korea from the sticker on the back of the neck near the peghead .
20 well seated frets , 14th fret at body joint , solid spruce top with a nice painted yellow color . A rosewood bound in white fingerboard . 1 11/16 inch nut width and a C shaped neck very low clean action . Grover rotomatic tuners and a compensated bridge . Composite back and sides ( bowl back ) . Some listing state the neck is mahogany others state it is maple , I go with maple stained to mahogany looking at the grain . Also the peghead is a second section of wood offering a more solid construction as many better guitars use this idea for strength .

oddly enough I was looking for another small body guitar to play blues . I was tired of the dry sound I was getting out of a fender grand concert solid spruce top I got three years ago . Solid tops should become better with age but this was not the case with the fender .
I have had maybe 12 acoustics in the 43 years i have played guitar and only two older gibsons were what I would consider keepers .
Back to the odd story , I was at GC looking and after playing everything I could find under $250 , I began with $129 guitars and went up to $700 models and all that played and sounded good were way up there . I was about to leave and see if someone esle in town offered something better in selection when I saw this yellow guitar . It loked about the size I was after and the shape was similar to a parlor guitar , it had 14 frets clear of the body so I picked it up and did not move the tag to view the name brand . I noticed right off that it had good tuners and a nice semi gloss finish to the neck , a nice shaped heel with a black cap on the end plus the fit looked very good .
I sat down and began to play , right off I realized it had a great tone even with the tarnished strings , the action was perfect and the neck was excellent .
After trying to find fault i could not , the more I played this yellow guitar the more I knew I had to have it .
Once I walked to the check out I realized the peghead said daisy rock , then I saw the box and purple gig bag with the name daisy on it as well .
I am a guy , but at this point I could have cared less what anyone may think , I could care less what the name was or the intention .
It is now here at home and with a new set of martin lights Sp strings the sound is ringing and singing with no buzz of dead spots just nice balanced tone and great bottom end for this small body guitar .
It sings and you can play electic blues licks as well on this as on my strats . It blows all other small bodyguitars I have tried away .

everything looks like it was well attended to , I had to do nothing to have it play well . The action is med low , about 3/16 " at the 12th fret unfretted . No buzz even with a flat pick digging in pretty hard .
The neck and body binding were even and well done , the frets were all seated well and all even and smooth . The bridge is well done and even the markeds are a spoke shape and all set in perfect and actually look more than cool . the strings are set even at both edges of the neck , not off to one side more than the other like many more expensive guitars I've seen .
The only flaw is that the tuners are not all set in the same from the sides of the peghead but this does not stand out unless you study it .

Reliability/Durability: 9
Everything about this guitar seems like it will hold up . I have no idea how they can produce this quality for the price which was $229 with gig bag and string winder and if you ned it a cd and book and a strap .
I could gig with it , not that i will but I feel confident it could take it well .
I would have never thought this would be the guitar I would walk out with but I am not sorry I did .
I can't put it down , it has to be the best thing going out there for acoustic blues for well under $600 .
If you have a problem with the name then you are missing out big time .

don't know but they do have a very good website .

Overall Rating: 10
I have been playing for 43 years , I have four strats that I built from scratch and three vintage fender amps and two I custom built .
The only other guitar I wish I had was a BB King gibson L-00 acoustic blues guitar and I would be a happy man .
