Price Paid: US $399.00

Features: 8
2 Humbuckers with 1 volume and 1 Tone and pickup selector switch. Push pull Coil tap switch built in to the tone control which taps both pickups simultaneously. Grover tuners. Duncan Designed pickups. Single-cut Les Paul style Mahogony body with maple satin finish neck, rosewood fingerboard. Atomic Pink metalflake finish with black binding on body. 24 3/4 scale. 22 frets. If it had a vibrato system, I would give it a 10.

Sound: 10
Very versatile guitar with a great midrange bark in the lead position. Mellow sounding neck humbucker. With coil tap engaged, the guitar takes on a whole different personality. Becomes Fender jaguar/jazzmaster-like. This guitar can hang with any hotter humbucker les paul style-PRS guitar. I may have received a ringer or some oddball. I cannot believe how good this thing sounds...

Action, Fit, & Finish: 10
Nicer paint, binding a little less refined. The fret job was very smooth and polished. This is the only guitar that have purchased in the last several years that didn't require setup. I didn't need to turn a single screw! Satin finish on back of neck is wonderful. Playability is amazing. It came with Daddario 10's from the factory which is my brand/guage of string. This thing is awesome right of the box. Sadly, it's too bad that Gibson can't duplicate the fret/fingerboard finish level on their guitars. I spent two weeks and many visits to several different Gibson dealers and couldn't find one decently setup and finished instrument. I am now looking for a used Gibson from 20 years ago...

Overall Rating: 10
I am a retired full-time musician that has been playing for 25 years. For now, I play in a modern rock band on the weekends only and do recording sessions for a blues/rock band. I also play acoustic shows. Among my collection of electrics, I own a '68 Fender Telecaster, '82 Fender The Strat, 87 Fender Strat, 89 ESP horizon custom, 88 ESP M1, 2000 Hamer Standard, 1999 BC Rich Mockingbird. I was shopping for a highline PRS, Les Paul, Baker, etc guitar. I came across this at the music store and tried it out as a joke. "Girl guitar" marketing made me laugh...and who in the hell would play such an ostentatious guitar in public...However, I couldn't put the damn thing down! When is the last time you tried a guitar at a store that felt perfect from the first note? Like I said before, maybe I got a ringer or something...Yes, I am a guy who is probably will receive some serious flak from my fellow musicians/guitar players when I take it out for a show or session. But, I can't wait to try it live. My girlfriend digs the guitar which is cool as she usually rolls her eyes at my guitar purchases...
