The system brings unprecedented power to the Pro Tools platform and its extremely varied pro audio user base. Waves has sold more plug-ins than all other 3rd-parties combined, and will continue to support and innovate in the field of Pro Tools processors. Waves Plug-Ins are software audio processors that seamlessly integrate with the user interface of audio recording and editing systems.Waves PlugIns are different than other audio PlugIns in that they use component assignment for more effecient DSP usage. Component assignment means that Waves Plug-Ins can be separated into smaller components. As an example, a user can spread the EQ bands of the Q10 across their audio project, placing a few bands on each track. Other examples include a mono C1 compressor or L1 limiter for a vocal track, or a 3-band stereo EQ for the master output.
