Pignose Debuts G40V All-Tube Amp
January 1, 1997
Pignose Industries, Gardena, CA has once again broken new musical ground by
introducing the company's first all-tube professional amplifier, the Pignose
G4OV, to unanimous acclaim at the recent NAMM show in Anaheim, CA.
The Pignose G4OV is an all-tube 40 watt RMS guitar combo amp weighing in at
a mere 22 lbs. Built in the legendary Pignose style, the G40V has a 10"
speaker, a variety of controls including volume, master volume, treble, mid,
bass, & presence, and is capable of driving additional cabinets with ease.
The Pignose G4OV is small enough for the bedroom or practice room, yet
powerful and responsive enough for use on-stage.
At the Anaheim NAMM show, the Pignose G4OV was demoed by Terrence Trent
Darby guitarist
Louis Metoyer at a special reception for Pignose distributors; guitarist Joe
Dalton also weighed in with daily in-booth demos of the amp.
Reaction to the Pignose G4OV on the NAMM show floor ranged from merely
enthusiastic to
outrageously spirited. The Pignose booth was constantly crowded with
guitarists, retailers, distributors, and quite a few representatives from
"other" amplifier companies, all trying to figure out how Pignose was able
to set the new benchmark for affordable, high quality, all tube amplification
Suggested retail price for the new Pignose G4OV All-Tube Amplifier, which
will begin shipping in April, is $399.95.
