For those in the know, Phase 3 of Res Rocket Surfer's
release schedule is an historic event in the world of
music and the Internet, allowing musicians around the world to play together using MIDI. For those not in the know, you
soon will be!
Res Rocket Surfer is the future of music and the
Internet. It's a band, community, virtual recording
studio, meeting place, creative forum, information
service, and truly interactive music source - there's
nothing else like it.
Res Rocket Surfer is introducing a Limited Release of
its revolutionary software DRGN (pronounced
"dragon") Version 1.0 and the following services:
1. Live Music Jamming On The Net - For the first
time ever users can create music live over the Net
with other people all over the world with as little as a
multi-media computer and Internet account.
2. RRS Virtual Studios - Res Rocket Surfer's
award-winning Web site has been completely rebuilt
from the ground up and offers a guide to the RRS
music jamming service as well as music and articles
from the front lines of the Internet music revolution.
3. RRS Muse - Res Rocket Surfer's fully interactive
virtual environment where users make music, chat ,
move between rooms/studios, and interact.
4. DRGN Version 1.0 - Res Rocket Surfer's
ground-breaking software that makes it all possible.
Version 1.0 is a Limited Release aimed at the
experienced musician. More fully-featured versions
suitable for the less experienced will be announced
soon.
Release and promotional schedules for Res Rocket
Surfer's products are as follows:
Phase 3 - Summer '97 sees RRS introducing its
core services to Trade Print Media, Limited Release
of DRGN Version 1.0 software and technical demos
including Plug-In Expo (July 16-17 in New York) and
PopKomm (August 14 - 17 in Koln, Germany).
Phase 2 - Fall '97 sees point releases of DRGN
software with enhanced features, additional RRS
virtual Studios subscriber services, territory specific
launch activity aimed at Trade/Consumer Print Media.
Phase 1 - Winter '97/'98 sees global launch events
aimed at all media, Version release of DRGN
software, additional subscriber services, and
entry-level membership band.
