New Rack-Mount For Audio-Technica 300/900 Series
January 1, 1997Audio-Technica's new AT8633 rack-mount adapter kit now enables owners of the 300 Series and 900 Series wireless systems to house their receivers in a standard audio rack.
Featuring a rugged, all-metal build, the dual-shelved AT8633 allows up to two ATW-R03 (300 Series) or AW-R09 (900 Series) receivers to be conveniently mounted in a single 19-inch rack space.
Operating on UHF bands above commonly-used TV, cellular and paging frequencies for greater immunity t interference, Audio-Technica's 900 Series is both light-weight and cost-effective. Available with a choice of bodypack or handheld transmitters, the ATW-R09 receiver features true-diversity reception, utilizing two antennas to feed two completely independent RF sections on the same frequency. Automatic logic circuitry, which continuously compares and selects the superior received signal, provides better sound quality and reduces the possibility of interference and dropouts. Audio-Technica InvisibleLink circuitry provides a "wired" sound by reducing noise and optimizing sound quality. 900 Series systems are available in a choice of 20 UHF frequencies (Canada: 10 frequencies) for minimum interference, and allow up to ten systems to be used simultaneously (Canada: 6).
The VHF 300 Series is available in four versions: handheld, headworn, lavalier and guitar. The ATW-R03 receiver, used by each version, utilizes dipole receiving antennas to extend operating range, allowing the musician to go farther from the receiver without worrying about dropouts. Compander circuits reduce noise and improve sound quality, providing the 300 Series with a natural, "wired-mic" sound. Also ideal for aerobics and fitness applications, the systems provide a choice of 20 VHF frequencies and feature surface-mount technology as well as LED indicators for power, RF and AF.
