ART Introduces The Rules Breaker DST-830 Guitar Amplifier!
January 1, 1997Applied Research and Technology proudly introduces the Rules Breaker Series Model DST-830 Guitar Amplifier, the ultimate combination of guitar amplification technology, vintage style, and high performance cabinetry.
The DST-830 starts with a 12AX7A tube preamp with four gain settings that include Clean Tube, Roar, Stack, Crystal and the sound beyond shred, Xtreme. This versatile preamp section allows the DST-830 to create musical, sonic palettes ranging from a bell-like tweedy shimmer to an overcooked tube fuzz.
The DST-830's open-back enclosure is made with void-free 7 ply baltic birch, and contains two Eminence Custom Designed speakers. The open-back cabinet design gives it superior sonic dispersion, making it a natural for filling a stage or rehearsal hall with tone.
Also included are 25 digital effects chains, and include delay, chorus, reverb, pitch transpose, flange, and tremolo. Up to three effects can be used at once, allowing the user to further enhance the amp's tone with various modern and/or vintage sounding effects. The unit has full midi implementation, which gives the user real time control of gain, eq, output, bypass, and digital signal processing. Any combination of distortion, effects, and equalization can be stored in any of seventy-five presets.
The power amplifier was designed by renowned amp innovator, Dan Pearce, and features 80 watts per side of power. The unit features a high frequency damping switch, that allows the power amp to emulate a solid state tightness or tube power amp sponginess. There is also a headphone jack, and an XLR output for direct recording, with a selectable 2x12 or 4x12 speaker cabinet simulator.
