August 30, 1997FUNCTIONAL HARMONY is designed to develop facility in harmonic analysis. Section 1 allows the user to practice analyzing basic chords in major or minor
keys and in root position or inversions. Using a similar format, Section 2 presents diatonic seventh chords and Section 3 presents secondary dominants. Section 4
completes the set with practice on borrowed and altered chords. The student record keeping feature allows the instructor to select the number of problems in each
quiz. When using the MIDI option, the chord displayed on the screen will play through the audio device to facilitate chord identification. Windows version

HARMONIC PROGRESSIONS is designed to help the user improve skills in functional harmony analysis. Studies include Root Position Chords, Inverted
Chords and the V7, Embellishing 6 Chords and the V7, Diatonic 7ths and Cadence Patterns. Questions are drawn from a pool of over 200 chord sets. Each area
includes practice in analyzing chords, harmonic dictation, and aural identification. The format of the Harmonic Progression Series is as follows: a chord is
sounded harmonically. The user must then detect the quality, position and voicing of the chord. The correct answer is displayed at the end of the example.

KEYBOARD ARPEGGIOS is designed to review arpeggio performance and fingerings. The program is presented in five parts: Instructions, Hand Over Hand
Triads (major and minor), Major Triads (two octaves), Minor Triads (two octaves), and a Final Quiz (random selection of all forms). The two-octave triads are
presented to the user for both right-hand and left-hand fingerings. Evaluation is stored in student records for the instructor. Requires MIDI (Windows version

KEYBOARD BLUES presents simple blues chords. The student is introduced to the Twelve-Bar Blues and can practice playing and hearing the chord changes,
first with the music and then without. The drill-and-practice section scores the student's knowledge of the simple blues chords. The student then may compose an
