Danny Gatton Tribute Concert to be Held January 8th and 9th
January 5, 1998On January 8th and 9th, 1998, at the Birchmere in Alexandria VA,
there will be a tribute concert for Danny Gatton, with all proceeds donated
directly to the Holly Gatton College Fund, presented and sponsored by
Fender Musical Instruments Corp.
This is a major show with major sponsors and some incredible talent
coming to perform to support Danny and his daughter Holly.

Additionally, there are supposed to be some major "surprise guests"
who will appear. These names can not be included in the
advertisements. We heard one name from the country music crowd that
is semi-local to the Washington D.C. metro area, and you probably
have his/her CDs!!!
Also, a silent auction will be held for two guitars donated by Fender
and Gibson. One guitar is a Danny Gatton Signature model Tele with
natural finish. The other guitar is a Gibson J-200 acoustic with two
special pearl blocks in the neck that are engraved to read "Danny
Gatton". This is truly a one-of-a-kind J-200, made specially for
this show.
For those of you who can't make it to Alexandria, VA, you can still
tune in to the show. The Official Danny Gatton Website
(www.bandpages.com/gatton) will be on-site at the Birchmere both
nights of the show. You will be able to connect to the web site
during the show to see up-to-the-minute images and commentary etc,
and you will be able to "Chat" with some of the guests, fans,
artists, etc. during the show. Sorry, but we can't provide
streaming video or audio due to legal issues with the artists and
their powers-that-be. More details about additional features the

page for the show. You won't be able to miss it!

Ticket prices are $65.00 each per night.

ONLY 1000 tickets total will be sold over both nights (500 per night)

This is indeed an historical event that begins to scratch the surface
of how Danny's unique talent and incredible personality touched the
lives of so many people in all aspects of life (especially the music
industry, believe it or not).
