Ibanez RP500 Rock and Play Features Recording Capability
January 19, 1998With their half-speed and bass enhance features, Ibanez Rock and Player cassette players have been one
of the most popular systems for guitarists and basses to learn licks and phrases from recordings. The
newest Rock and Play, the RP500, not only features 1/2 speed playback, it also records. "Now players
can record material at lessons and rehearsals for later learning as well as jam along with prerecorded
tapes," commented Paul Specht of Ibanez on the new Rock and Play RP500. Specht continued that all the
new Rock and Plays, the RP300 for guitar, the RP302 for bass, as well as the new recording model offer
improved fidelity and longer battery life.
All Rock and Plays feature onboard effects, pitch control and headphones. Both the RP500 and the RP300
have 1/2 speed for slowing down fast or hard to learn phrases. The RP302 for bass has a bass enhance
feature which brings out bass lines.
