New Version of Res Rocket for Mac and Windows

December 11, 1998The Res Rocket Client version 1.4 for Windows and version 1.2.1 for Macintosh is now available for download from: www.resrocket.com/software/release.html Both new versions of the Res Rocket Client now include MIDI Import as well as MIDI Export, making it possible to move songs online and offline, between Res Rocket and your favorite stand-alone sequencing package. Also featured:
  • Greatly improved stability
  • Flexibly sizable HTML and 'who' interface (version 1.4 only)
  • Many bug fixes, including a more informative connection dialog

Please note that because of the significant changes in these versions, the Res Rocket Server will soon be *disallowing* connections from all earlier versions.

Major Announcements Due in January

In January at NAMM in Los Angeles Res Rocket will be demonstrating a prototype of version 2.0, the next generation of our music collaboration software. Version 2.0 will allow you to use ANY "Rocket Enabled" audio/MIDI sequencing application directly with the Res Rocket Client. Stay tuned to the Rocket News (by replying to this message) to learn more about our January NAMM announcement.

Private Studios Still Available for Professionals

Contact alexw@resrocket.com if you believe you might benefit by having your own "private studio." Private studios provide better copyright protection by letting you "lock" your studio using a customizable guest list. These studios also feature server-based storage of multiple works-in-progress.
