Ibanez SR300DX Soundgear Bass Features Active PHAT Bass Boost Circuitry
 January 13, 1998Ibanez has done it again!!! In keeping with the tradition of offering high-end features at a reasonable
cost, the SR300 series of Ibanez basses gets a new and innovative upgrade: The new PHAT Bass Boost !!!
This active circuit allows a bass boost of 15db while retaining the stellar bass response that the SR
series has become known for. This addition places the SR300DX into a class of its own: a moderately
priced active bass.
For the last ten years, the Ibanez Soundgear bass line has been best known and most popular bass line
featuring active electronics, though a few lower priced models were all passive. With the addition of
the SR300DX to the line, all 1998 model Soundgear basses feature active electronics.
SR300DX basses with the PHAT bass boost are available in the following models:
- SR300DX 4-string. Available finishes: Black, and Metallic Green
- SR300DXL 4-string, left handed. Available finish: Black
- SR305DX 5-string. Available Black, and Jewel Blue
