AnTares Ports Auto-Tune to the V8 PC Workstation
May 12, 1998
AnTares Systems and Digital Audio Labs are pleased to announce that the AnTares' acclaimed Auto-Tune(tm) Plug-in is being released for DAL's V8 PC audio system.
Auto-Tune is automatic real-time pitch correction software that has enjoyed great success in the hard disk recording market since its release as a TDM plug-in in March of 1997. Running in real-time on the V8's DSP Supercharger architecture, Auto-Tune allows the V8 user to automatically process any solo vocal or instrument track to the correct pitch without distortion or artifacts, while preserving the expressive qualities of the work. The user can also eliminate or add vibrato, or create unusual special effects.
"The V8's powerful DSP Supercharger is a perfect match for Auto-Tune's processor intensive pitch shift algorithms," explained Ted Klein, president of DAL. "Making Auto-Tune available as a plug-in for DAL's V8 is a big step forward for AnTares," according to AnTares' Andy Hildebrand. "By entering the PC market on DAL's V8, we hope to extend Auto-Tune's superlative reputation and quality to a significantly larger user base."
V8 Auto-Tune's suggested retail price is set at $599, availability is to be announced. See and hear a preview at booth S5547.
