Schecter Introduces A-7 Elite 7-String Guitar
July 9, 1999
Schecter Guitar Research has announced the introduction of the A-7 Elite 7-string
guitar to their Diamond Series, and will be displaying it at Summer NAMM in Nashville.
This new 7-string features neck-thru-body construction, a custom tune-o-matic
bridge, and a stop tailpiece. The bridge system and neck-thru construction was
selected to allow for maximum string vibration and low 'B' tonal clarity.
Like the original A-7, the new Elite's sleek sci-fi arched body is constructed
from Honduran mahogany 'wings.' The 24-fret rock maple neck is outfitted with
a rosewood fingerboard and extra-jumbo frets. The neck and headstock are crème
bound to enhance the guitar's striking appearance, which is topped off by 'dual
diamond' pearl inlays on the 12th fret.
Other features include Duncan Design High Output 7-String humbuckers, Grover
tuners, and black hardware. Available finishes for the A-7 Elite are Gloss Black
and UltraViolet - a unique prism finish that dramatically changes colors.
The A-7 Elite retails at $899.00
