Larry Seyer Releases Acoustic Bass Library
Exclusively For NemeSys GigaSampler®
July 15, 1999
Grammy award winning engineer and producer, Larry Seyer, unveiled his acoustic
bass sound library for GigaSampler® today. Priced at $299. (US) this library
features over 500 samples recorded at varying velocities with multiple
playing techniques and is over a gigabyte in size.
NemeSys Music Technology's award-winning GigaSampler is the only audio sampler
that can access the memory needed to enable faithful reproduction of this instrument.
"I checked out the other hardware and software-based samplers, but couldn't
find anything that could touch the sonic flexibility and massive storage capacity
that GigaSampler provides," noted Seyer. "With this library, you can
actually hear the wood and rosin of this hand-crafted, 180-year old contrabass.
Being able to record and preserve this beautiful instrument has been a dream of
mine for some time."
Released in January 1998, NemeSys GigaSampler software has revolutionized
the sampler industry with its ability to stream multi-gigabyte sounds from a single
hard drive in real-time.
"We are honored to be working with a producer of Larry Seyer's caliber,"
added Francis Preve, Program Director for NemeSys. "His legendary recording
skills really bring our products to life. This acoustic bass collection is a superb
example of Larry's attention to detail."
