Evidence Audio Introduces the Lyric Instrument
Cable
August 18, 1999 Evidence Audio, a performance-based cable
supplier to the Music Instrument market, introduces the Lyric guitar and
instrument cable. And to celebrate the product introduction, they are giving away
ten instrument cables!
Based on years of research in cable theory and design, the Lyric incorporates
fundamental design characteristics that allow musicians the ability to pass a
signal between electronics at a higher level of transparency and accuracy.
Key features include the use of:
- Solid IGL copper conductors that overcome distortions caused by strand
interaction and copper impurities.
- Symmetrical balanced design, where the positive and negative conductors are
identical and preserve a sense of dynamics and authority.
- High-density copper braid shield attached at one end only, preventing interference
from being carried along the signal path.
- Foamed Polypropylene insulation maximizing the amount of air around the conductors
to minimize dielectric involvement.
"All cables add some level of distortion and obscure detail" comments
Tony Farinella, president of Evidence Audio, "we take steps to minimize the
amount of signal damage caused by the cable, preserving a level of clarity and
harmonic articulation most musicians have never experienced during playback or
recording. Our position with regard to cable design is that cables should be tone-agnostic
no cable design causes distortions that are better suited for any type
of instrument or music style."
The Lyric is available in Jumper lengths, as well as ten and twenty foot runs.
Ten and twenty foot lengths are $43.00 and $67.00 respectively.
