Sonic Engineering Introduces the PanHandler
for Cubase VSTMajor price cut on all versions of the plug-in
April 18, 1999
Sonic Engineering (formerly Kelly Industries) today introduced their latest PanHandler surround sound plug-in
for Cubase VST (Win). For this introduction they have reduced the price of all
versions of the PanHandler to $79.95 (from $300.00).
The
PanHandler is a surround sound plug-in for SAWPro, Cool Edit Pro, Adobe Premiere
and DirectX applications. Used by video specialists, audio engineers, musicians,
and filmmakers. It is a surround sound panner and encoder in a single plug-in.
It is used to pan and encode (single) sound files in surround. These "PanHandled"
sound files can then be placed into a normal stereo mix consisting of stereo
music and dialog.
Totally compatible with any professional and home surround sound decoders (like
the kind you can buy in a consumer electronics store).
Fundamentally, the PanHandler pans and encodes a sound source in Surround Sound.
Then when the sound is played back on a Surround Sound receiver/decoder playback
unit, it is played back exactly as it was panned and encoded.
