DUY Releases ReDSPider Plug-In Library for
TDM
March 22, 1999After great success with DSPider,
a plug-in creator for TDM, DUY releases ReDSPider, the first plug-in library
for the Digidesign TDM Bus(TM). ReDSPider features over 200 plug-ins for TDM which
include compressors, limiters, reverbs, noise gates, expanders, equalisers, de-essers,
panners, levellers, flangers, delays, multiband and multi-effect processors, 3D
effects, synth sound, sound enhancers, de-noisers, dithering, etc. A complete

Users can edit visible module's parameters and subsequently save them as new
plug-ins, as well as loading plug-ins created by DSPider users and Third Party
Developers. DSPider and ReDSPider are totally independent programs. You don't
need to have one to be able to use the other. New plug-ins will be periodically
released and updated by DUY, making ReDSPider an open and updateable platform.
The RMS Stereo Compressor plug-in
ReDSPider allows you to modify parameters but not the internal structure of
the plug-in, a feature which is reserved for DSPider users.
The exclusive Patch Manager feature allows programmable switching between
plug-ins via automation controls (you can switch from one plug-in to another as
the track is running). This allows optimization of DSP resources and a degree
of control and flexibility never seen before. Instant assistance with electronic
instructions is provided by help balloons and "talking help."
ReDSPider is currently available for the Digidesign TDM BusTM. Pro Tools 4.1
and upwards, automation and Pro Tools|24, Pro Tools|24 MIX and Pro Tools|24 MIX
Plus hardware are fully supported.
