Designed in conjunction with bassist Billy Sheehan, Ampeg has announced the
new Billy Sheehan Preamp, the SVP-BSP.
The SVP-BSP is a two-channel bass preamp, rooted in versatility and designed
to emanate Billy's solo signature sound. It features a hybrid preamp design (1x12AX7)
making use of both tube and solid state power sources. The preamp is lightweight
(11 lbs.) and also features single space rack design for compact storage. Complete
with two channels, the SVP-BSP allows for channel switching, or a combination
of the two for a wide range selection.
Separate effects loops, transformer balanced XLR outputs, tuner out and mute
functions help round out Billy's vision of the perfect preamp, while options like
a 9-band graphic help maintain levels for tone preference.
For hard to satisfy players, features like 3-band EQ on both channels, sweepable
mid-range, input pad, ultra low & high boost, and a pull gain boost are available.
Plus, peak LED indicators, compressor, noise gate and two-button foot switch help
ensure smooth delivery no matter the playing conditions.
The Billy Sheehan Preamp, SVP-BSP, lists for $699.00.
