PRESS RELEASE

Spirit 324 Live V1.1

September 21, 2000

The Spirit 324 Live has now been further enhanced with an update to Version 1.1 software. Offering new features and functions designed to aid the user in a wide range of live sound environments, the new software is available to current 324 owners free of charge via Spirit dealers or the Spirit web site.

The 324's ISOLATE feature now protects both the MIX and MONO Master Faders, as well as Lexicon FX units 1 and 2, improving security and peace of mind in pressured live situations. Thanks to a new Global MIDI Output suppression function, the user can now ensure that no external MIDI events are triggered by desk operations.

The user interface now features several extra functions aimed at making everyday operation even quicker and easier. Thanks to the new SOLO Selects mode, SOLOing any channel assigns it automatically to the E-Strip. In AutoCancel SOLO mode, SOLOs can be interlocked (cancel last SOLO) for fast troubleshooting. Another new channel feature is Flatten EQ where all channel EQ parameters can be instantly reset by simply pressing and holding the channel EQ button.

Copy Snapshot facilitates quick and easy show preparation, by allowing the user to duplicate a basic Snapshot to several memory locations before creating all the different versions that are necessary.

Finally, changes to audio routing and MIDI functions extend the 324's basic functionality. Options for the Monitor Output source now include AUX 1/2, AUX 3/4 and FX1/2. The desk automation now employs MIDI Continuous Controller messages in place of NRPNs, allowing easier integration with a wider range of sequencers. And a new automation mode - CONTROLLER offers simple integration with MIDI-savvy DAW systems.
