July 19, 2000Alvarez Guitars is proud to introduce the System 600T acoustic guitar Preamp/EQ, to be unveiled at the Summer NAMM convention in Nashville.
The
System 600T has been engineered to provide the finest acoustic guitar reproduction available. It
features a broad range of sonic control, mixing capability for different combinations of piezo,
magnetic, and microphone transducers, and an onboard digital chromatic tuner. The System 600T also
features a specially designed notch filter for feedback elimination.
Every aspect of the System 600T has been carefully designed to provide players with the most natural
acoustic sound and maximum flexibility. The integrated digital tuner allows accurate tuning, and
automatically mutes the output when engaged. The System 600T features an auxiliary input which can be
used to mix an internal microphone or magnetic sound hole pickup with a standard bridge piezo
transducer.
The Alvarez System 600T also includes a switchable "notch" filter to control feedback in live
performance applications. When engaged, an extremely narrow band of frequencies is cut from the
signal, variable from 45Hz to 2.2kHz.
The System 600T provides the user with a simple and intuitive EQ system. Treble, Mid, and Bass
sliders allow 15dB of cut or boost, and a contour control adjusts the center frequency of the Mid
slider between 600Hz and 1.2kHz. Internal trim pots for the Treble and Bass controls allow the
System 600T to be "fine tuned" to the unique sonic characteristics of different guitar body shapes
and materials.
The System 600T has been designed specifically for use with Alvarez guitars, and will be available in
all Alvarez-Yairi acoustic/electric models, and select Alvarez acoustic/electrics. For more information, visit their web site at www.alvarezgtr.com. |
