August 9, 2000The Musical Instrument Makers Forum, in
association with Moll Custom Instruments,
announces their next interactive online instrument-making course, Building
an Archtop Guitar, taught by master luthier Bill Moll.
The Archtop Guitar Building Course will start on January 15th, 2001, and
run through July 15th. Lessons will be posted on the MIM Forum on a
weekly basis, and students will use the Forum to ask whatever questions
come up as they build.
The course is not intended for beginners. The MIM Forum
strongly recommends that students take this course only if they have
already built at least one guitar from scratch, including bending the
sides and binding the edges. There will be a fee charged for
participation, and prepayment is required for the course.
This will be the fourth course taught for the MIM Forum by Bill Moll, and the
second time that he's taught the Archtop Course.
