December 24, 2000Tsunami Technologies has announced a radical departure from the lightweight, high power products that have been their mainstay. This departure took the form of a new conventional power supply based power amplifier capable of more than 1800 Watts of power, per channel, at 2 Ohms.
The new HQ-3.4 power amplifier includes many of the same features of its "little brother" the SMPS based HQ-2002S, 980W/chan 4 Ohm which weighs in at a mere 27 pounds. Efficient class H output amplification, inrush current protection, DC, temperature and over current are all features included in the new amplifier at an MSRP of only $1169.
"This may seem a step backward from our technology," stated Field Sales Manager, Peter Horsman, "but we recognize that there is a market for the conventional power supply brute force approach to a serious cost saving. Our technology position allows us to do that too." For more information, visit their web site at www.tsunamitechnologies.com. |
